Under what circumstances are my orders eligible for a VAT refund?

The prices of our products include taxes. Purchases are tax exempt under the following circumstances:

Residents of the European Union: Purchases made by VAT-taxable entities (businesses, organisations, etc.) based in the European Union and possessing an intracommunity VAT ID shall be exempt from paying VAT. Accordingly, they must send this document by email to: emision.documentacion@elcorteingles.es

Residents of countries outside the EU: Purchases made by individuals or corporations residing in countries outside the EU shall be exempt from paying VAT In this purchase/delivery system and due to their tax treatment, the geographical areas corresponding to Ceuta and Melilla are considered non-EU territories.

Does the price of the products include import taxes, when applicable?

Import taxes are not included in the price of the delivery charge. These taxes shall be paid in cash by the recipient when the merchandise arrives at its destination.

Are there any products that include fair compensation for private copying (private copying levy)?

With the coming into force of RD-L 12/2017, which establishes a new system of fair compensation for private copying from 1 August 2017, purchasers of blank media subject to this compensation, according to the redrafted Article 25.8 of RDL 1/1996, may request an itemised invoice via email from clientes@elcorteingles.es.
